Purpose
Topographic mapping is a vital resource for the State of Victoria. It is used by the general public, State, local and Commonwealth governments, the private sector and academia. It uses are broad, including emergency response and recovery, recreation, navigation, site analysis, and asset management. Vicmap Topographic mapping utilises Vicmap, Victoria's digital spatial framework data. The objective of the Vicmap Topographic Mapping program is to provide current topographic mapping for all users in a number of different scales and map sizes and in both digital and hardcopy formats.
