Baseflow Separation Analysis for Unregulated Rivers (1990 to 2009)

dataset: BFI_UNREG_RIVERS_1990_2009
This dataset comprises baseflow indices that were derived as part of two separate projects undertaken for the MDBA and DSE. The MDBA (2010) Baseflow assessment for the Murray-Darling Basin prepared by SKM and CSIRO. CSIRO: Water for a Healthy Country National Research Flagship. The DSE (2002) Estimation of Sustainable Diversion Limit Parameters over winterfill periods in Victorian Catchments (prepared by SKM).

Dataset Source: For the DSE dataset, baseflow indices (summer, winter and annual average) for the period 1990 to 1999 were calculated for 163 stream gauges using a filter parameter of 0.925. The period 1990 to 1999 was specified as a minimum and more information was included if available. For the Murray Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) dataset, baseflow indices (summer, winter, autumn, spring and annual average) for the period 1990 to 2009 were calculated for 54 stream gauges (in Victoria) using a filter parameter of 0.98. The period 1990 to 2009 was specified as a minimum and more information was included if available. Dataset Originality: Primary & Derived
