Supplemental Information
History: This layer was captured as PL500 and implemented in 1989. In January, 1991 it was changed to PLU500 Relationship to other Datasets: Some features in this layer may be derived from other layers such as TEMP500, HYDRO500 and ROAD500. Current Design Issues: This layer must differentiate between parks and reserves under the National Parks Act, water and land and individual recommendations. Major revisions must be identifiable. Lineage

Description
Original linework formed using the TEMP500 as boundary. The LCC recommendations were published on a base using the 1963 (Crown Lands and Survey) Map of Victoria they required reformatting to fit the TEMP500. This was carried out by the former Drafting Services staff. The external public land boundaries were then digitised be the former Remote Sensing staff. This produced the layer PL500. The internal boundaries and the classifications were provided by the former Drafting Services as current Parks and Reserves under the National Parks Act were added. This produced the layer PLU500.
