project:
cep27-2019-20_great_ocean_road_elevation_and_photo
Aerial Laser Scanning (ALS) and Mobile Laser scanning (MLS) were undertaken along the entire length of Great Ocean Road (GOR)
during March and April 2020. Fundamentally, the data was collected to coincide with the establishment of Great Ocean Road
Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA). The ALS survey was coducted over a width of approximately 1km. The ALS data sets created
include 8pts/m2 LiDAR point clouds, 0.5m DEM and 25cm contours. Simultaneous true colour aerial photography was also collected
at 5cm resolution. The MLS survey was conducted along the immediate vicinity of the Road itself with a variable survey width
according to physical line of sight. The mls data sets created include very high denisty LiDAR point clouds, 0.1m DEM and
1ocm contours. Concurrent spherical imagery was also collected with the survey.
