This dataset communicates the 2010 Index of Stream Condition overall index score, condition rating and the five ISC sub-index scores for physical form, streamside zone, hydrology, water quality, aquatic life.

Conceptual Consistency

River Centrelines have been mapped the same way across the entire ISC2010 network and all data products from the 2010 ISC can be joined using the UniqueID_2010. Scores from the 2010 ISC can be joined to the earlier ISC1999_Scores and ISC2004_Scores data sets using the UniqueID_1999 and UniqueID_2004 attributes respectively which account for differences in the numbering of ISC reaches among years. 

Missing Data

All wetlands with an area of 1 hectare or more should be present. Monitored segments of Victorian waterways 

Attribute Quality

The UniqueID that describes the Basin, Reach and Section Number for each Section is complete for every waterway but ID numbers were not consistent with that used by past ISC benchmarks in all rivers. Scores were obtained in digital form indexed by UniqueID so are believed to be correct.
