Description

The DEM was derived from a triangulated ground model created from the classes Ground, Model Key Points and water. The DEM points were exported on the even metre and gaps up to 50m (eg houses) are interpolated and filled. Any laser points classified as dams or lakes were hydro-flattened automatically based on the average point height for each waterbody.

Comments

The DEMs are consistent with respect to their visual representation of the ground features, continuity at the tile boundaries and representation of elevation values. No limiting on triangulation over voids has been applied.

The DEM tiles supplied are complete for the defined project extents. The No Data value has been set to -9999. Gaps greater than 50m2 may be present in areas of diminished returns over water and under dense canopy.
