Lineage
- Description
- Full waveform LiDAR was captured with a minimum of 1.5 points per square meter at 60 degrees scan angle and translated to an ellipsoid point cloud for each swath by reference to the flight trajectory. Proprietary software was used to level and merge the swaths and output the point cloud as a set of tiles. The tiled LiDAR was then filtered back to a scan angle of 45 degrees scan angle. Gaps due to turbulence were filled by increasing the field of view to include returns greater than 22.5 degrees from nadir before LiDAR tiles projected to AHD were produced. Classification of ground and non ground was performed using an algorithm adjusted for the terrain, vegetation and feature combinations within the project area. Manual checking and reclassification was undertaken to achieve the required classification accuracy

Conceptual Consistency
- Comments
- The definition of ground under dense vegetation may be less accurate. Minor stepping between swaths due to turbulence in some areas of the capture may be present.
Missing Data
- Comments
- Some voids may be present in areas of diminished return
