2020-21 Outer Melbourne West and Macedon Ranges Photography

This Coordinated Imagery Program (CIP) project represents a high accuracy (+/- 2 pixel @ 1 sigma RMSE) 10cm GSD, 3-band RGB aerial photography capture over various parts of Outer Melbourne and the entire Local Government Area (LGA) of Macedon Ranges. The photography will primarily be used by state government, local government and water authorities for urban planning, urban growth monitoring, transport planning, statutory planning, asset management and engineering purposes as well as use as a backdrop in general GIS applications. This project is tied in with the summer epoch of the Greater Melbourne Multi-Epoch Photography project, with approximately 50% of the project area marking the extended Summer area of interest (AOI) of our principal partner, Melbourne Water. One partner AOI also spans both projects and custom mosaics may be requested to reflect this. The capture period is from 1st December 2020 to 28th February, 2021 to align with the adjacent summer captures.
