2020 Bushfires - Snowy Bushfire Complex West (Snowy 16) Photography

This Coordinated Imagery Program (CIP) project represents a 20cm, relaxed accuracy, 4-band, RGBI aerial photography capture over the Snowy Bushfire Complex West area in East Gippsland. The Snowy bushfire (covering 6,642 km²) started on 6th January and was declared under control on 31st March 2020. A contract was established and photograpy was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft on the 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 27th, 30th March and 1st, 5th, 15th and 17th (re-flight) of April 2020. Products generated from the Aerial photography are 20cm GSD orthophoto mosaics and 1 km² orthophoto tiles. This fire photography adjoins the Tambo Bushfire Complex photography (to the west) and the Snowy Bushfire East complex photography projects.

Description
This project represents the western side of the 2020 Snowy Fire Complex (Snowy #16 fire) and covers 5,764 km2 in area. The area extends approximately from Tostaree to Dock Inlet (east-west) and from the Victorian coastline to the NSW border (north-south) and includes the townships of Orbost and Marlo. The remainder of the fire complex has been captured to the east and west with other post fire photography projects.
