Purpose

This dataset is designed purely for the display of general tree cover in web mapping applications. It essentially differs from the source dataset (TREE100) in that the large polygons of tree cover have been broken up into polygons of a maximum sixe not exceeding one 25 thou mapsheet. This avoids having to retrieve very large complex polygons when zoomed in on a small area within a large treed area of the state of Victoria.

Description

Generalize appended tree100 input cover to remove redundant vertices using 0.01 tolerance and bendsimplify. Do intersect with index cover of L25 library to break up big polygons. Drop all original items in pat except tree. Drop polygons where tree 'P'.
