Lineage
- Description
- Full waveform LiDAR was acquired at a maximum scan angle of 60 degrees from nadir and converted to an ellipsoid point cloud for each swath by reference to the flight trajectories; the trajectories having been determined from a solution between the onboard IMU and GPS and a network of GPS base-stations referenced to local PSMs, with residuals calculated from additional boot control base-stations over-flown at the beginning and end of each sortie. The swaths were then levelled, adjusted to ground control and merged. Classification of ground and non ground was performed using an algorithm adjusted for the terrain, vegetation and feature combinations within the project area. Manual checking and reclassification was undertaken to achieve the required classification accuracy.
