Purpose

These datasets are being created to improve the quality assurance processes associated with validating the names of features within the Vicmap products. They will assist the quality of Vicmap by enabling better connections through Vicnames. This is a fundamental spatial reference file that describes the feature, location and name.

This could range from extremely low to high dependant on the maintenance that may/may not have been applied to the particular feature over the last 20 years. 

Positional Accuracy

all data should better the original 1:25000 accuracy standards and retain the vertical alignment with other Vicmap Topographic datasets
