Lineage
- Statement
- Dataset Source: Andy Stephens (1995) at the Victorian EPA produced maps representing seagrass distribution and abundance in Western Port based on aerial photography flown in May 1994, using field surveys to ground-truth the mapping. DPI translated the hard-copy maps in Stephens (1995) to this GIS layer be digitally scanning and georeferencing the maps against 1:25k Vicmap coastline data. Dataset Originality: Primary

- Description
- These polygons were created by DPI translating the hard-copy maps of seagrass distribution and abundance in Western Port produced by Andy Stephens of EPA Victoria by digitally scanning these maps and georeferencing them against 1:25,000 coastline data from the VicMap layers.
