2008-09 Future Coasts Victorian Bathymteric DEM and contour values across tile boundaries have been constructed to ensure smooth consistent bathymetry values. 

Missing Data

Voids exist in bathymetry values in shallow water areas due to the Lidar sensor unable to reach sea floor from factors such as wave break and turbidity.

Description

Contours are created by referencing the seafloor Lidar strikes. A number of macros are applied to the seafloor strikes before contour generation. These macros thin and smooth the Lidar strikes and contours are generated automatically from the smoothed Lidar strikes.
