- Description
- Collection Method: Matching to digital topographic and infrastructure data
- Description
- The OAAV regional boundaries were created in March 2007. They are based on the Victorian government regional boundaries. The main difference is that the three metropolitan regions, plus Bass Coast Shire, have been aggregated to form the OAAV Metropolitan region. Also the Grampians and Barwon South-West regions have been aggregated to form the OAAV Barwon South West/Grampians region. The LGA boundaries were originally extracted from LOCLGA and consolidated with Gazettal information.

- 100% complete.
Positional Accuracy
- Comments
- As per the LGA_POLYGON dataset obtained from the VicMap ADMIN product, this dataset is created by amalgamating the LGA's from LGA_POLYGON to form the OAAV regions. Therefore the positional accuracy will only be as good as the underlying data it was derived from.
Conceptual Consistency
- Comments
- The dataset has been visually checked. All polygons have either been closed using ArcToolbox within ArcGIS, or its topology corrected when imported into ArcSDE.
Missing Data
- Comments
- State-wide Completeness Verification: Matched against 1:100,000 map series roads and topographic features used to define boundaries and listed in Schedule IIA of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage Protection Act (1984).
Excess Data
- Comments
- CHMR is an administrative data set and involves no classification of features and feature types.
