Purpose

This data was withdrawn from DataShare April 2025. This layer was created to identify "Rail Trails" in Victoria. These are usually along disused railway corridors, with some sections which share a corridor with a tourist rail.

History: The data is based in part on historic railway data maintained by the Department of Transport (DoT) Current Design Issues: The corridor dataset is a simplification of the rail network. The accuracy of some corridors is approximate. There are likely to be some missing elements to the network. Related Documents: None
