Purpose

This layer was created for inclusion in the Victorian Oil Spill Response Atlas to identify the location of artificial recreational fishing reefs in Phillip Bay.

History: Original data created by FRB included three offshore reef locations. Data updated in 2015 with addition of three new near-shore reefs. Current Design Issues: The position of the shore based reefs was estimated based on a description on the info sheet available online. Positional Accuracy

Locations for the boat based reefs were determined using DGPS with accuracy +/- 3m. The position of the shore based reefs was estimated based on a description on the info sheet available online, the accuracty is likely to be +/- 20m.
