Description
The Fractional Cover Count (FCC) measures the density of vegetation in a particular area. Generically, this is expressed as the number of LiDAR points classified as vegetation as a percentage of all LiDAR points for the particular area. FCC is computed for each 2x2m cell within 200m either side of the river centre lines. An FCC dataset has been calculated for each of the following eight Height Class Intervals: 1.5-2m, 2-3.5m, 3.5-5m, 5-10m, 10-15m, 15-20m, 20-25m, 25+m using the following formula: Height Interval FCC = (Number of Vegetation points in Height Class) / (Total Number of Vegetation points above 1.5m). A single Overall FCC is also calculated using the following formula: Overall FCC = (Total number of Vegetation points above 1.5m) / (Total number of Vegetation points above 2m + Total number of Ground points). In total, there are nine FCC raster datasets calculated.

Comments
The Fractional Cover Count values are expressed in decimal percentage and are continuous, floating point values between 0 and 1
