Lineage
- Description
- Laser Range data was acquired and converted to an ellipsoid point cloud by reference to the flight trajectories; the trajectories having been determined from a solution between the onboard GPS and IMU and a network of GPS ground stations. The ellipsoid co-ordinates were then reduced to AHD using AusGeoid09. An automated routine was used to classify the returns into ground and non ground before being visually checked and reclassified if necessary. The point cloud was then adjusted to surveyed ground control before further automated classification of model keypoints and vegetation. Bridges and water-bodies were manually separated from the other classes and a final consistency check performed before the data was output into tiles for delivery.

Conceptual Consistency
- Comments
- Accuracy may be reduced in areas of diminished returns, such as under canopy and over water.
Missing Data
- Comments
- Gaps, due to diminished returns over water and under canopy, may be present.
