Purpose

This dataset provides information to link photos taken with specific sites, trails or recreation assets and are used to promote these sites, trails or recreation assets for public use as well as assisting staff in their management. This dataset replaces the RFDB_PHOTO_EXTRA dataset.

Supplemental Information

History: Formerly RFDB_PHOTO_EXTRA December, 2018 Addition of Unique Feature Identifier (UFI), a combination of the entity id and update date. Incremental update is enable using the UFI numbers. Current Design Issues: Recreation Facilites Database datatsets are currently captured as individual shapefiles which are validated, merged and migrated to the FORESTS schema of the corporate SDE evironment via an Arc/Info aml based process. Related Documents: None This dataset replaces the RFDB_SIGNS_GEO_REF

The majority of points have sub metre accuracy. All data has been post processed using GPSnet base stations.

Attribute Quality

Recreation Facility attributes were collected on site. The majority of the attributes are from drop down lists which minimises errors. 

Positional Accuracy

Data has been collected with a Trimble pro XR GSP with an external antenna. The majority of points have sub metre accuracy, detailed in the attributes. The upper limit of accuracy is within 10m for 95% of the data. All data has been post processed using GPSnet base stations.

Description

All data has been post processed by base stations. A customised processing system screens the data to ensure all serial numbers are unique and to detect spelling errors. 

Statement

Dataset Source: Primary dataset based on GPS field work. The source table for the RECWEB_PHOTO_EXTRA is RECWEB_FAC_PHOTO_EXTRA. The source tables are from a data dump from the Recweb database. The latitude and longitude are used to create the point layers on engine13. Dataset Originality: Primary
