2007-8 South Gippsland and East Gippsland Coastal

This project represents the remainder of the high resolution coastal elevation coverage for DSE's Future Coasts Program. There are two distinct and separate coastal regions included. Both have the same specification as previous DSE coastal LiDAR projects (+/-10cm vertical accuracy) and both have the same products. The South Gippsland project area fills the gap between two previous LiDAR projects. The project area is bounded by Port Welshpool in the east and Wonthaggi in the west and includes Wilsons Promontory, Corner Inlet, Andersons Inlet and Shallow Inlet. Coverage for this project is for all mainland coastal zones up to 10 metres elevation including as much of Corner Inlet as acquired on a low Spring tide. Collection of +/-50cm vertical accuracy data over the remainder of Wilsons Promontory that is above 10 metres was also included in addition to the Future Coasts Program requirements.
