2021-22 Sunshine Precinct 3D Photomesh

The creation of mixed LOD individual object models from existing photography as well as a 3D photogrammetric mesh (photomesh) over the suburb of Sunshine within the Brimbank Local Government Area (LGA) was requested to support internal and council stakeholders of DELWP’s Digital Twin Victoria (DTV) platform. Various individual 3D feature objects were created over the entire Sunshine National Employment and Innovation Cluster (Sunshine NEIC). Untextured LOD2.2 feature objects were created for all buildings within an approximate 1.6 km radius of Sunshine or Albion train stations (Sunshine Transport Precinct). A high-resolution activity centre photomesh was also produced over the central Sunshine Activity Centre using new helicopter capture. Furthermore, the individual LOD2.2 feature objects within this activity centre were enhanced with textures derived from the photomesh capture.
