Purpose:
Vicmap Features of Interest - A dynamic Victorian database of features of interest such as education centres, community centres, care & emergency facilities, power facilities, towers, landmarks, geographical and locality points.
This is a fundamental spatial reference file that describes the feature, location and name.
This database will assist users in asset management, web based search and find, dispatch, delivery and routing, and map production.
Data made available to Vicmap under Cross Border agreements is subject to the maintenance regime of the relevant jurisdiction and is not subject to the same maintenance regime of the Vicmap datasets.
Cross border data made available in Vicmap is not updated regularly and was last updated in January 2012.

all data should better the original 1:25000 accuracy standards and retain the vertical alignment with other Vicmap Topographic datasets

Features where Custodial Agreements are in place will have a high level of feature, attribute and classification with their real-world instances.
Features where authoritative sources have been identified and data exchanged (Custodial Agreement not finalised) will have a high level of completeness in terms of feature, attribute and classification with their real-world instances.
Features where authoritative sources are yet to be identified will have varied levels of completeness in terms of feature, attribute and classification with their real-world instances. This could range from extremely low to high dependant on the maintenance that may/may not have been applied to the particular feature over the last 20 years.
Logical Consistency:
The allowable error in logical consistency ranges between 1% (new data additions) to 5% (premaintenance contract data).
