Purpose:
This dataset provides information on huts suitable for public visitation and use (ie. historic significance and location) to assist staff in their management and maintenance and to promote these huts for public visitation. This dataset replaces the RFDB_HUT dataset.

Positional Accuracy:
Data has been collected with a Trimble pro XR GSP with an external antenna. The majority of points have sub metre accuracy, detailed in the attributes. The upper limit of accuracy is within 10m for 95% of the data. All data has been post processed using GPSnet base stations.
Attribute Accuracy:
Recreation Facility attributes were collected on site. The majority of the attributes are from drop down lists which minimises errors.

The majority of points have sub metre accuracy. All data has been post processed using GPSnet base stations.

The source table for the RECWEB_HUT is RECWEB_FAC_HUT. This is a data dump from the Recweb database. The latitude and longitude are used to create the point layers on engine13.

Addition of Unique Feature Identifier (UFI), a combination of the entity id and update date. Incremental update is enable using the UFI numbers.
Current Design Issues: Recreation Facilites Database datatsets are currently captured as individual shapefiles which are validated, merged and migrated to the FORESTS schema of the corporate SDE evironment via an Arc/Info aml based process.
