Lineage
- Description
- The 1m DEM is a dataset representing ground surface elevation and is derived from the Ground classified LiDAR point cloud. A 1m grid is projected on a triangulated version of the un-thinned ground point dataset, where triangles have been drawn between the 3 nearest surrounding ground points. A weighted averaged elevation is adapted from the triangulated plane (interpolation type: triangulated height interpolation). The gridded DEM dataset has been interpolated across voids which may be caused by either no LiDAR returns due to water bodies, or removal of buildings, vegetation or other above ground features. No limiting on triangulation has been applied to avoid any voids to be left in the gridded DEM. The DEM has been generated for the full extent of the LiDAR coverage achieved.

- Comments
- This dataset consists of every point that is part of the classified ground surface. All non-ground objects such as vegetation and man-made structures (eg. bridges, fences) have been removed from the DEM. The elevation values are continuous, floating point values.
Missing Data
- Comments
- No limiting on triangulation has been applied to avoid any voids to be left in the gridded DEM. The DEM has been generated across the full extent of the LiDAR data coverage achieved.
