The Inundation Merged datasets (Zones 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 9) represent the spatial extent of floodplain inundation across the Murray–Darling Basin in Victoria under a range of modelled flow scenarios (15,000–50,000 ML/day). Hydraulic model outputs were converted from raster to polygon, merged across flow levels, and standardised through GIS processing steps including dissolve, field calculation, and schema updates. Each zone contains polygon features with attributes describing the zone identifier, flow event, coordinate system, processing notes, and geometry metrics. Data are provided as shapefiles in the projected coordinate system GDA2020 VicGrid (EPSG:7899), capturing potential inundation extents for ecological assessment, planning, and community consultation in Victoria. This dataset represents public dams and retarding basins in Victoria. The dataset is a point dataset. This is the unrestricted version of the data for display on the DEECA public website. For Water Corporations, Parks Victoria and AGL Hydro, this data is an extract from the FloodZoom Dams Portal used for annual dam safety reporting. The Dams Portal has two types of water storages, namely Facilities and Reservoirs. A facility can have many water bodies e.g., a water treatment plant with many ponds. A reservoir can have many dams e.g., one body of water with one main dam and several saddle dams. It is Water Storage Locations layer, one of datasets displayed in the interactive map https://mapshare.vic.gov.au/webmap/owof_storages/. This interactive webmap is embedded in https://www.water.vic.gov.au/water-sources/victorias-dams
