This dataset series is a product of Vicmap Elevation. It contains relief features represented by lines at 1 metre intervals with some areas at 5 metres intervals. Data has been derived from Melbourne Water base maps, converted to Microstation .DGN format and import into GIS. Data is incomplete ie. there are "holes" in the data where for example there are quarries, or large building sites. Datasets in the series are listed below. See their metadata entries for more detailed metadata. Metro Contour 1-5 Metre - Vicmap Elevation (EL_CONTOUR_1TO5M); Metro Ground Surface Point 1-5 Metre - Vicmap Elevation (EL_GRND_SURFACE_POINT_1TO5M);

Part of the Vicmap Features of Interest dataset. Polygon location of features of interest within Victoria. Polygons represent larger area features that have been captured in more detail. Examples include sports grounds, botanic gardens, municipal reserves and shopping precincts.

Vicmap Elevation 1m DEM Footprints represent the boundaries of the LiDAR DEM Collection datasets used in the Vicmap 1m DEM. This is a spatial metadata dataset belonging to the Vicmap 1m DEM product. Like the Vicmap 1m DEM itself, the footprints are also available as spatial web services (WFS).

Vicmap Crown Land Tenure is a statewide dataset series that plays a key role in the management of Victoria's Crown land. It was created (June 2003 - Feb 2004) from migrating LCMP layers into the Vicmap structure. The layer provides information about the Private use of Crown land Parcels and Crown Roads. CL_TENURE_VIEW contains a number of Tenure types including: - (A) Agricultural including Unused Road licences, Water Frontage licences and Grazing licences, - (L) Lease including Commercial type leases, - (G) General Licences including miscellaneous community use licences, permits & consents - (P) Pipe including Water supply pipelines, - (RM) Reserve including land gazetted as a Reserve in Government Gazettes, - Tenure Identifiers, Tenure type identifiers and Tenure code identifiers. The database is continually maintained, obtaining maintenance from authoritative sources within State Government. Datasets in the series are listed below. See their metadata entries for more detailed metadata. Tenure boundaries and descriptors as per Crown Land Management - Vicmap Crown Land Tenure (CL_TENURE_VIEW); Government Roads as per Crown Land Management - Vicmap Crown Land Tenure (GOV_ROAD_POLYGON);

Vicmap Transport represents the transport network of the state of Victoria and is made up of point, line and polygon area features in a seamless and topologically structured data set. It is comprised of a basic framework of linear features supplemented by related point and node and polygon features providing the supplementary data supporting the transport network over the topographic and demographic landscape. Further classification and description of real world features is provided by attribute tables, which add specific description and definition to each feature supported by code lists that can be used for analysis and individual identification. The following transport features are fundamental to this data set series: - Road network - freeway, highway, arterial, 2wd, 4wd, bicycle and walking tracks. - Road related structures - including fords, bridges, tunnels, gates, intersections, roundabouts, barriers, rail crossings; - Ferry routes; - Rail network, railway yard, tramway, railway bridge, railway tunnel; - Rail related structures - including railway sidings, stations, railway bridges, railway tunnels; - Tramway network; - Air related structures - including (major) airport extents, runways, landing strips, helipads Vicmap Transport is a combination of a number of data sets that are a part of the Vicmap suite of products. Datasets in the series are listed below. See their metadata entries for more detailed metadata. - Airport Area (polygon) - Vicmap Transport (TR_AIRPORT_AREA_POLYGON); - Airport Infrastructure - Vicmap Transport (TR_AIRPORT_INFRASTRUCTURE); - Airport Infrastucture Area (polygon) - Vicmap Transport (TR_AIR_INFRA_AREA_POLYGON); - Airport Infrastucture Point - Vicmap Transport (TR_AIR_INFRA_POINT); - Rail Network - Vicmap Transport (TR_RAIL); - Rail Infrastructure - Vicmap Transport (TR_RAIL_INFRASTRUCTURE); - Road Network - Vicmap Transport (TR_ROAD); - Road Infrastructure - Vicmap Transport (TR_ROAD_INFRASTRUCTURE); - Road Locality (grouped by road name, road type,road suffix and locality) (TR_ROAD_REGISTER)

Vicmap Property consists of data representing Victoria's land parcels and properties and is used extensively in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by the public and private sectors. Vicmap Property Content includes · Parcel and Property Polygon views; · Parcel and Property Identifiers - parcel descriptors (including Standard Parcel Identifiers (SPI)), Council reference numbers; · Registered and proposed (All proposals entered prior to July 2002 are non-polygonal and all entered post July 2002 are polygonised) parcels; · Crown and Freehold land differentiation; · Cadastral Road Casements; · Easements (Note: all new easements are being captured for the whole State. Previously, only easements in the metropolitan area were captured. There is no current program to review and capture missing easements); · Unique Feature Identifiers, date stamps and data quality information. Spatial Datasets comprising Vicmap Property are listed below. See their metadata entries for more detailed metadata. Annotation Text - Vicmap Property (ANNOTATION_TEXT); Cadastral Area Boundary - Vicmap Property (CAD_AREA_BDY); Easement - Vicmap Property (EASEMENT) Centroid - Vicmap Property (CENTROID); Parcel View - Vicmap Property (PARCEL_VIEW); Property View - Vicmap Property (PROPERTY_VIEW); Road Casement - Vicmap Property (ROAD_CASEMENT_POLYGON ); Unconnected Centroid - Vicmap Property (UNCONNECTED_CENTROID);

Vicmap Address is Victoria's authoritative geocoded database of property address points. The data includes predominately, but not exclusively, locational property address identifiers assigned by Local Government, considered to be the primary creator and custodian of property address. If accessible, other 'real life' property addresses created and used by the community, but not recognized by Local Government including retirement villages, assisted care facilities, industrial and public housing estates etc. are included. The 2011/2012 audit against Local Government addressing revealed a 97.41% match rate, increased from 92.43% in 2008/2009 following the 2009 Address Completion Initiative. Key validation fields are 'source' and 'source_verified', respectively indicating the address source and date last validated against that source. The minimum address attributes required for a property address to be included in Vicmap Address are road name and locality. However, the principal address details include the unit/house number(s), road name (including any type or suffix) and locality (town/suburb/rural district). Vicmap Address is jointly maintained with Vicmap Property (VMPROP), with every address relating to a VMPROP record, joined through a property_pfi link. Many additional attributes are included, where available, to facilitate use and relevance to the user community. N.B. Specifically excluded are non-property related, and electronic address details such as email, post office (PO) boxes, roadside delivery points (RSD's), roadside mail boxes (RMB's) and the like. Current data model: Version 6.1 (Oct 2016)
